TPE is plastic, with all the positive qualities of rubber. Seals made of thermoplastic elastomer have found widespread uses in industries, such as window and door manufacturing. This material is highly suitable for multi-component solutions which combine soft and hard materials in a single product.
The operating temperature range of TPE is wide, and it has excellent weather and chemical-resistant qualities. It can also be tinted in accordance with the RAL colour chart. However, TPE does not have as wide an operating temperature range as rubber or silicone.
The TPE quality that we use is SEBS, in other words, one of the styrene block copolymers.
