FinnProfiles Oy has signed an agreement to acquire Plastep Oy’s entire share capital. The transaction was completed on 16 February 2026, and the company was transferred to FinnProfiles’ ownership in connection with the deal’s closing.

Plastep is a contract manufacturer of plastic products based in Southern Savonia, Finland, with an annual revenue of approximately €6.5 million. The acquisition strengthens FinnProfiles’ position as a Nordic expert in sealing and insulation solutions while expanding its capabilities in the manufacturing of plastic products and technical components.

FinnProfiles, operating in Sastamala and Ii, is a leading manufacturer of sealing profiles made from elastomer materials such as rubber, silicone, and TPE. The company also has strong expertise in molded products and a wide range of post-production services.

Plastep is known for its high-quality plastic products and strong customer partnerships, particularly in industrial and technology sectors. Founded in 2001, the company specializes in the design and production of demanding technical plastic components, with roots dating back to 1981. Through the acquisition, FinnProfiles gains access to Plastep’s modern production capacity, long experience, and skilled personnel.

“FinnProfiles is a strong Finnish family-owned company, and I believe this transaction is the right solution for both Plastep’s customers and employees. FinnProfiles’ expertise will significantly strengthen Plastep’s ability to continue as one of Finland’s leading injection molding and assembly service providers,” says Heikki Zitting, former shareholder of Plastep.

“We are proud of Plastep’s expertise and history. Together, we form an even stronger Finnish industrial player capable of meeting customers’ growing quality and delivery requirements,” says Jukka Mäki-Lahna, CEO of FinnProfiles. “The acquisition supports FinnProfiles’ long-term growth strategy and strengthens our position in international markets.”

Both companies will continue operating independently, building on their respective strengths. This creates excellent conditions to serve customers with an even broader offering.
